Happy
(belated) 6th month birthday to Cocoa! It's hard to believe time
has passed so quickly - even more so noting how much Cocoa has
grown while reviewing pictures to send. Her manic, wagging tail
and big eyes bring joy to each day. She's full of confidence and
would rule the house if we let her - we've spent quite a bit of
time with formal (PetSmart puppy class and Barkbusters) and
informal training. Our kids squeal every time they find one of
Cocoa's baby teeth. She plays aggressively with other dogs which
can alarm some unfamilar owners and annoy older, calmer dogs -
however she is also gentle with our in-law's 6 pound ShiPoo.
Still working on curbing the excited jumping when she greets
people.
Cocoa always attracts comments on how pretty she is. Many people
guess she's a labradoodle - and an equal number seem confused
exactly what a labradoodle is. At least one neighbor was
interested enough in our story to buy a Goldendoodle from Buckeye
Kennels!! So far the journey has been great - the next challenge
is spaying in a couple weeks. Then deciding when it is safe to
replace the family room carpet...
