Emma Brown Dawg is a year and a half brown Labradoodle, who came to our home last spring, 2006. Em's a witty, smiley girl who LOVES people (even little ones), gets along well with all dogs (even the not-so-nice ones,)

enjoys swimming with a bright orange life vest, is an excellent catcher, and rides with her head far out of the car window while wearing bright pink "doogles" -- dog googles. We call this act "spreading Emma joy" -- we can't help but notice how many people look, smile, wave and laugh when they see Emma flying by. People have stopped their cars to watch, snapped pictures with their cell phones, and we even had one lady get out of her car to tell us that Emma in her doogles was the cutest thing she has ever seen. Emma doesn't seem to realize what the fuss is all

about, and is just happy to have people talk to her! We get comments from all kinds of dog experts about her intelligence and sweet disposition -- the vet, her dog walker, groomers, the folks at her doggie day care, and her overnight kennel -- all say the same wonderful things about her, and how she is one of their favorites. As any proud

doggie momma would admit, I don't find this surprising at all! I keep teasing my husband that Emma needs her own dog, and trust me -- if we decide to get another one, it most certainly will be a doodle from Buckeye Kennels. However, we can't imagine any other dog being as great as our Emma. That said, if the new pup had even half of Emma's charm, personality and wit -- it would still be a great dog. A word about Buckeye Kennels -- I have to tell you why we choose you in the first place. Your place was the ONLY kennel that encouraged visitors -- on your  website, and you reiterated the invitation when we spoke on the phone. You needed virtually no notice time, either -- you said we could drop in whenever. This meant a lot to us as nervous new dog parents, and spoke volumes about your practices as a kennel. You made us feel 100% confident in our choice. Thank you for giving us Emma Brown Dawg! We are fortunate to have her in our lives.
