First of all we just love Rowdy!  He is a very loving member of our family and he seems to be growing more and more every day.  He went to the vets today for his second round and weighed in at 13lbs.  He is able to "hold" it for about 4/12 hours now which means more sleep for us.  In the last 2 days Rowdy has been standing by the back door for us to let him out which is a big thrill for us!

He's doing really good with retrieving his pet goose.  I throw it to the other side of the living room and hold his collar while he looks at it (ready to explode) and I say "Rowdy" in a loud voice.....he runs across the living room and brings it back for a quick tug-a-war and then gives it back again. He'll do this for about 10-15 min (which is good for a 10 week old pup)  I'm going to do this until he eventually sits next to me without holding his collar and stays until I say "Rowdy" before retrieving the goose.....................................what a great dog thanks again!

Rowdy

UPDATE 1/30/10

  I havent written you guys in a while so I thought that I would update you on Rowdy.  He's quite a bit bigger since the last time you seen him (around 105lbs).  We had to cut back on his food since we had him fixed because he gained about 15-20 lbs in 2 months.  Rowdy loves to chew his antlers and will fetch until he can't hardly walk the next day. Just a great great companion and would have no trouble getting another lab from you guys and have recommended your kennel to lots of my hunting buddies.  I'm waiting one more year until I take him waterfowling...I'm in no hurry.
