How do I adopt a puppy from Buckeye Kennels?

ALL OF OUR AKC ENGLISH CREAM GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPIES ARE $2000.00 (plus tax) regardless of gender or lineage/health clearances etc.

(all puppy sales will have additional 7.25% tax added at time of purchase)

Your Puppy Comes With:

* Each pup has a complete health screening by our vet at 6 weeks old. Your puppy will have his/her first shots and dewormings, first dose of Heartworm preventative and Flea/tick prevention depending on time of year and date of sale.

* 10 day general health guarantee after date of purchase. (terms listed on condition of sale contract)

* 1 year genetic guarantee on hips (OFA grade fair or above) /heart/eyes (PRCD,PRA1 & PRA 2)/DM

* A sample of our puppy food to make the transition to your home easy

* Life time support from us plus tons of love & socialization from our family!

Deposit & Payment Policy:

We ask $500 down as a non-refundable deposit to hold a puppy in your name. The deposit can be placed securely via a credit card on our DEPOSIT PAGE.

In the event that we can't provide a puppy in the gender that you requested, you will have the option of a full refund of the deposit amount or you can choose a different gender in the litter if one is available. If there isn't a replacement puppy available, you can transfer the deposit to a future litter of your choice.

The balance of the purchase price is due when you come to choose and take your puppy home. NOTE: ALL OF OUR PUPPIES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL A DEPOSIT IS PLACED ON A SPECIFIC GENDER WITHIN THE LITTER.

All about the Gotcha Day:

We are so excited that you have chosen our kennel for your new family member! Once our puppies are vet checked and cleared for take-off, we will be contacting you to schedule your Gotcha Day. (You will have approximately a 2 week notice before the take home date so you have time to make personal arrangements and schedule your first vet visit for your puppy.)

We want our puppies to be placed with their new families as quickly as possible so they can begin adjusting to their new life. We expect that your puppy will be going home on your scheduled Gotcha Day so that other families are not delayed with their placement. If for any reason you have to reschedule or delay the Gotcha Day past 9 weeks, we will charge $25 per day until the puppy is picked up.

What Do I need to bring a puppy home?

Travel crate, bath towels, chew toys, small collar, leash, water bowl, bottled water, a roll of paper towels, large zip-lock bag or Walmart type bag (…for quick and tidy clean ups in case the trip is eventful.) We will also send you home with a sample bag of Diamond Brand Puppy.

What Method of Payments Can I Use?

((A written receipt for your deposit and payment will be provided at the time of deposit and puppy placement.))

You are welcome to use:

• personal check via snail mail (contact us for our address)

• cash if you are local.

• credit card (for deposit only) via our DEPOSIT LINK

For final payment, we request personal check (with valid Drivers License) or cash.

(If you choose to use a credit card for the balance of the purchase price, we ask that you add 4% to cover the transaction charge.)

WE DO NOT ACCEPT BANK CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS OR THIRD PARTY PURCHASES.

**All of our puppies are sold to PET HOMES ONLY.

**Our puppies are not intended to be bred for AKC offspring or any mixed breed and will come with LIMITED AKC registration.

**All of our puppies are required to be spayed or neutered before 8 months of age as stated in our CONDITION OF SALE.

CAN WE VISIT ?

ABSOLUTELY!!! We encourage all of our Buckeye families to come and visit our babies to choose and take home their puppy.

**COVID POLICY: AT THIS TIME WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING VISITORS THAT HAVE PLACED A DEPOSIT WITH OUR KENNEL.SORRY!

If you have a deposit with us and are in the process of picking out your puppy, we will gladly make arrangements for you to meet the litter and the parents that you are interested in, Monday through Saturday, most anytime of the day or evening. (Sorry, no Sunday sales or visits please.) Simply contact us and we can compare calendars!

PLEASE NOTE: We welcome you to take pictures/video of your puppy as you interact together. If you want pictures of the parents, we ask that you copy them from our website and give Buckeye Kennels credit for the photo.

***Also, please note that we do not let the general public walk through our adult kennels to help us maintain the health of our pregnant or nursing mama’s.

Will you deliver my puppy?

We understand hectic schedules! If you are not able to come to our kennel, you are welcome to choose your puppy via pictures and phone calls! We will deliver your to your doorstep or a mutually agreed upon public location.

DELIVERY FEE: We ask $1.25/mile roundtrip to cover our gas expense and time. Mileage will be agreed upon ahead of time with you, via map quest, so there aren't any miscommunications about the amount that is due upon arrival.

DO YOU SHIP PUPPIES?

Although we do not ship our babies, you are more than welcome to book a flight, visit our kennel, choose your puppy and take him home on the return flight. We also can meet you at the airport with the puppy of your choice as well.

PLEASE NOTE: If you choose this option, this will take planning ahead! You are responsible for booking the flights and making sure that you meet all of the airline requirements for size/weight and kennel type. We will make sure that your puppy is ready for travel!
